Help make sure all residents in your
community are counted in the 2010 Census!

Thank you for returning your 2010 Census form!

Right now the Census Bureau is working with its 18 local offices throughout Ohio to identify all households that did not return their questionnaire.

These local offices will then send census takers, or enumerators, into the field to go door-to-door and collect 2010 Census information in person from May 1 until July 30, 2010.

To help them be successful, local information would be useful in making sure your neighbors answer their door and give their information to census takers.

Any suggestions or insight you can offer that could positively impact a census takers’ visits would be sent to the local census offices. Your advice will hopefully help census takers reach residents in your community in a manner they are comfortable with.

The State of Ohio asks all residents to do their part and fill out the 2010 Census, whether by returning the form or answering the door, to make sure we are properly represented in United States Congress and receive our fair share of federal dollars over the next ten years. The State of Ohio's role is to act as a facilitator between the U.S. Census Bureau and Ohio residents; the State does not provide or collect 2010 Census forms.
