Visual representations of Ohio's characteristics are useful in identifying areas of Decennial Census outreach. Each of the maps listed provide an understanding of how Ohio residents responded to the 2000 Census and how easily they were counted.
Ohio Participation Rate Maps
The Ohio Participation Rate Maps show recent 2010 participation rates throughout the state. The data is pulled each day at 4:00 pm from the Take 10 map at http://2010.census.gov/2010census/take10map/.
Complete Count Committee Map
The Complete Count Committee Map shows areas throughout the state where a Complete Count Committee was formed by a local government.
Mailback Response Rate Map
The Mailback Response Rate Map describes households that responded to the questionnaire during the 2000 Census.
1990 - 2000 Mailback Response Rate Map
The 1990 - 2000 Mailback Response Rate Map describes the change by county in responses between the two Decennial Census'.
Hard-To-Count Map
The Hard-To-Count Map highlights cities and areas that will be difficult to count in the 2010 Census. How difficult a resident is to count relates to their income, education level, housing situation, and also the mailback response rate from the 2000 Census.
Limited English Proficient (LEP) Map
The Limited English Proficient (LEP) Map shows home languages of limited English proficient students enrolled in Ohio public schools (including community schools) in the 2008-2009 school year. LEP numbers for community schools were rolled up into the enclosing public districts for display purposes.
