Non-Governmental Organization / Community and Faith-based Organization

Non-Governmental Organization / Community and Faith-based Organization Collaborate with community organizations to inform residents of the importance of participating in the 2010 Census, and the benefits derived from census data. Creates and coordinates activities and materials that can be used by any community, faith-based, and non-governmental institutions in the promotion of the 2010 Census awareness and participation.

Mission Statement
Identify and implement outreach strategies to engage in educating and motivating Non-Governmental Organizations, community and faith-based organizations about the 2010 Census.

Sub-committee Goals
• Reach out to organizations by referencing funding impacts of census data
• Work with other Ohio Committee sub-committees to develop a coordinated message
• Work with organizations that have a statewide reach or within areas of Hard-to-Count/easy-to-miss
• Develop a method to track progress of outreach
• Encourage member networks to participate on local Complete Count Committees
• Identify non-governmental opportunities to support local 2010 census efforts
