On April 9, 2009 Ohio Governor Ted Strickland signed the Executive Order that establishes the Ohio Complete Count Committee for the 2010 Census and names State Treasurer Kevin Boyce to serve as chair.
As chair of the Ohio Complete Count Committee, Treasurer Boyce is leading the effort to raise public awareness on the 2010 Census and working with local communities to ensure Ohio receives appropriate funding levels from the federal government. Director of the Ohio Department of Development, Lisa Patt-McDaniel, serves as Vice Chair of the Committee.

With the establishment of the Ohio Complete Count Committee, Governor Strickland appointed 50 Ohioans to serve as members on the Committee. Members represent 17 different locations throughout Ohio and 51 entities, ranging from state departments to a rural township.
Ohio Treasurer of State Kevin Boyce serves as Chair and Director Lisa Patt-McDaniel serves as Vice Chair.

Assists in activities between the Census Bureau and the local government, such as identifying free space for Questionnaire Assistance Centers (QAC) and Be Counted Centers, advertise job openings, provide space for interviews and testing, assist with setting up Complete Count Committees, and identifying other resources for Complete Count Committee activities. Non-Governmental Organization / Community and Faith-based Organization
Collaborate with community organizations to inform residents of the importance of participating in the 2010 Census, and the benefits derived from census data. Creates and coordinates activities and materials that can be used by any faith-based and non-governmental institutions in the promotion of the 2010 Census awareness and participation. Read more »
Hard-To-Count
Acts as the lead team for identifying Ohio hard-to-count locations and overcoming the challenges to including these populations in the Decennial Census. This subcommittee will understand specific hard-to-count characteristics prevalent in the state, and provide outreach recommendations that will supplement efforts of the other three subcommittees. Education
Facilitates Census awareness for local schools from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, as well as postsecondary education institutions in the area. Work in tandem with Census in Schools program to provide a comprehensive outreach. Read more »
